Effective early this AM, a high wind watch was issued for much of Iowa, and additional counties were added in later by their corresponding weather office. Winds are expecting to be anywhere from 25 mph to 40 mph with gusts between 55 mph and 70mph. With this in mind, we expect to see trees blown over, power lines down in areas and travel impacts for some motorists.
We are expecting that the highest winds will be delayed until early to mid afternoon in many areas. Take note of the wind speeds, these are not high temperatures for the day on Wednesday folks. However, the temperatures will not be too far off!
